Parents and spouses can be paid as a PCA

Beginning October 1, a spouse, parent, stepparent, or legal guardian of a minor can be a paid personal care assistance (PCA) worker.

The parent or spouse must meet the criteria to be a PCA and be hired by a PCA provider agency.

September is Emergency Preparedness Month

It's important for everyone to prepare for the unexpected. Before an emergency or disaster strikes, have a plan.

This month, take these important steps:

  • Develop a GO Plan for evacuations
  • Create a STAY Plan for sheltering in place
  • Gather essential emergency supplies
  • Share your plans with your support networks
